(Chuck Muth) – I was stubbornly agnostic on this whole Ukraine thing…until yesterday.
The problem has been, I’ve had no idea who to believe. The left lies. The politicians lie. The media lies. As if the issue isn’t complicated enough.
The thing is, even if we were being given the straight dope, we still wouldn’t know what’s going on behind closed doors. For that, we elect leaders and decision-makers who appoint negotiators, etc.
But this much I know…
J’Biden and Kamala kept funneling billions of dollars to Ukraine with no accountability for the money and seemingly without congressional approval – though I’m sure there were all kinds of budgetary gimmicks in place to make it lawful.
Then Volodymyr Zelensky showed up at the White House yesterday – in his trademark military war pajamas – to sign an economic agreement on mineral rights that would further protect his war-torn country as well as U.S. taxpayers.
All he had to do was smile for the cameras, put his John Hancock on the paper, and chow down at an afternoon lunch. But he couldn’t even do that.
Instead, he decided to lecture the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, and the U.S. Secretary of State with a history lesson in front of the media without expressing even a scintilla of gratitude.
As such, President Trump kicked him out of the White House and didn’t even give him cab fare home.
Then, just a couple hours later in an interview with Brett Baier on FOX News, Zelensky declined the opportunity to apologize for the disrespect he showed the President and the American people.
Zelensky became accustomed to just getting a blank check from J’Biden – that’s why he campaigned for him last fall – and apparently missed the memo advising there was a new sheriff in the Oval Office.
I think he knows now.
Zelensky’s support is now drying up faster than a Magic Marker left out without a cap on it. I know I’m no longer on the fence.
Get us out of this quagmire, President Trump. If Zelensky wants to go it alone, so be it.
