Annual conservative conference will be held in Las Vegas in July;
Will Conclude with Republican Presidential Candidate Debate
(Las Vegas, NV) – Citizen Outreach Foundation (COF) officially announced today that the 2011 Conservative Leadership Conference (CLC) will be held at the M Resort in Las Vegas on July 9-10, 2011. The conference, now in its fourth year, is attended by hundreds of conservative activists, bloggers and leaders from around the state and region.
“As the saying goes, liberty requires eternal vigilance,” said COF president Chuck Muth. “The Conservative Leadership Conference is one way to help like-minded citizens band together to keep a much-needed wary eye on our government and public policies.”
This fourth annual conference will include a Republican presidential candidate debate on Sunday evening, July 10, which will be sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform and the Daily Caller. The debate will be moderated by ATR President Grover Norquist and Daily Caller editor-in-chief Tucker Carlson.
Daily Caller publisher Neil Patel said, “After too many election cycles where Republican candidates participated almost exclusively in debates hosted by liberal journalists, The Daily Caller is delighted to join Americans for Tax Reform to host a debate for Republican candidates from a more balanced perspective. Our debate will ensure that anyone who wants to be the Republican nominee will be pushed in a tough but fair way to give real answers to the major pending fiscal questions facing our great country.”
The Daily Caller is a 24-hour news publication providing its audience with original reporting, commentary and breaking news. Since its launch in January of 2010, The Daily Caller has grown to over 2.5 million visitors per month.
Rep. Dean Heller, Nevada Republican, will again serve as CLC’s Honorary Chairman.
“Over the last two years we have seen bigger government, longer unemployment lines, and our debt getting deeper,” said Heller. “That is why it is important for conservatives to come together at events like this and show our commitment to the principles of limited government, personal accountability, and fiscal responsibility. It is a privilege to serve as the Honorary Chairman for the Conservative Leadership Conference and promote our shared conservative values.”
