(NN&V Staff) – The Nevada Innovative Coalition (NICE) is announcing their next public forum on the subject of Medical Tourism: An Educational Future. The forum is free and open to the public on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Atomic Testing Museum (755 E. Flamingo Rd.).
In an effort to provide practical and achievable policy changes to public education within the Clark County School District, NICE will be bringing together experts throughout several fields of medicine to discuss and evaluate the impact that medical tourism can have in increasing educational success within the CCSD.
Whether through increased revenue, specialized technical training, or elevated educational standards, medical tourism is a growing field within Clark County with much to contribute to the public educational system.
Panelists
The varying fields of medical expertise represented in the panel will provide the public a chance to ask specific questions in several different areas of interest as it relates to medical tourism and its impact upon public education.
Panelists include The Honorable Lorraine T. Hunt-Bono, Former Lieutenant Governor of Nevada (Commissioner, NV Commission on Tourism; President and CEO of Perri, Inc.), Jeffrey L. Cummings, M.D. (Director of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health), John Laub, CPA (Executive Director of the Regenerative Medicine Organization), Dixie O’Dou (President of the Lake Mead Chapter of Health Physics), and John C. Ruckdeschel, M.D. (Director and CEO of the Nevada Cancer Institute).
Radio talk show host, Heather Kydd (Fox News, KDOX 1280AM/ 102.3FM) will act as moderator.
