(Michael Schaus, Nevada Policy Research Institute) – In its answer to the injunction order issued by Judge James Wilson disfavoring the implementation of ESA (Education Savings Account), NPRI launched an online petition using NevadaESA.com, and the hashtags #LetOurChildrenSucceed and #SchoolChoice to show more support to the school choice program.
ESA has received a number of adverse comments and petitions since its passage last year. And as this year opened, Judge Wilson showed preference to the claim of a group called Educate Nevada Now over the launching of ESA that is supposed to happen this February.
NPRI is appealing to the people to help the program succeed and eventually be implemented so that students and parents may receive its benefits and advantages despite the order opposing it. NPRI has created a page where supporters of ESA may sign up and show their support. The link to the page is NevadaESA.com/LetOurChildrenSucceed/.
NPRI also requests ESA supporters to use the hashtags #LetOurChildrenSucceed and #SchoolChoice on Twitter and other social networking sites. Through these ways, Nevada government will realize how Nevadans signify and yearn the implementation of ESA.
