Actress Stacey Dash is responding to Black Entertainment Television, which criticized Dash for comments she recently made about the Academy Awards.
After several media outlets and celebrities criticized the 2016 Oscars nominees for being overwhelmingly white, Dash went on Fox & Friends. “I think it’s ludicrous,” Dash, 49, said. “We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET (Black Entertainment Television) and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black.”
After Dash made her comments, Black Entertainment Television posted a photo on Instagram of the actress appearing in the BET show “The Game.”
“Soooooo,” the caption to the picture read, “can we get our check back or…nah?”
