Terhune: What’s Good for Tesla is Good for Nevada

Terhune: What’s Good for Tesla is Good for Nevada
Chuck Muth
January 17, 2016

(Terhune campaign) – Candidate for Assembly District 25, Jennifer Terhune, launched her campaign for “Tax Holidays” proposal while appearing on the Kevin Wall show (heard statewide on 790AM & 104.3FM Talk Now as well as 99.1FM).

“Special interest lobbyists have had their way at the Nevada Legislature for the last 6 years securing billion dollar tax increases on all Nevadans, while handing out billion dollar tax breaks behind closed door to their clients, all in the name of education,” Terhune said.

“While Nevada taxpayers are forced to play this economic shell game, the reality is nobody is being fooled. When tax breaks are handed out to companies that do not even exist, something is obviously corrupt and rotten in Carson City, you can smell all the way down to North Las Vegas. It feels like an earthquake in Nevada so many heads are shaking.”

“What’s good for Tesla and other billion dollar corporations should be good for all Nevadans,” Terhune continued, “yet professional politicians in Carson City do not seem to care. I want to represent all Nevadans, and especially the people in my own community of District 25 in Reno. I am currently working with a team to develop a tax holiday for everyone in Nevada, not just the special interests that have had the ear of the Nevada Legislature over and over again. My tax holiday will do more to stimulate the Nevada economy than anything the legislature has done in the last 8 years.”

“Tax holidays for all Nevadans is not popular with the Republican establishment in Nevada,” Terhune concluded, “but they’ll be very popular with the people of Nevada. I’m expecting a firm pushback on my Tax Holiday plan which will only drive me to fight harder for it. That’s the kind of representation Assembly District 25 should have, and that’s what I am bringing to this campaign, a choice for something stronger than another special interest vote.”

Jennifer Terhune is a candidate for the Nevada Assembly in District 25. A graduate of the TMCC Dental Hygienist program, with long standing involvement in the Republican Party in Washoe County and the Nevada GOP. She is the Constitutional Conservative in the race for Assembly District 25.
