“Flipper’s” Cesspool Campaign to Buy CD2 Seat After Vegas Campaign Collapse
There’s a neck-and-neck race this year to see which GOP primary campaign can drag Republican voters deepest into the cesspool of lies and misinformation.
First, there’s Drew Johnson, running for Treasurer, who is so full of sheep-dip that his eyes are brown (but he does have pretty hair).
Second, there’s Heidi Kasama, whose AI-generated fake photos and images of fellow Republican Albert Mack are outrageously beyond the pale.
But moving up the field quickly is opportunist David Flippo, the Las Vegan who decided to at the last minute to abandon his Las Vegas CD4 congressional campaign (you know, where he lives) and “flip” to the more inviting environs of northern Nevada’s CD2 district.
“Flipper’s” latest attack against his GOP opponent, former State Sen. James Settelmeyer is a real doozy and a whale of a stretch.
He’s not attacking Settelmeyer for donating money to Democrats – because Settelmeyer hasn’t done that.
Instead, Flipper is attacking Settelmeyer because some of Settelmeyer’s DONORS have also donated to Democrats in the past.
That’s an asinine “infinity and beyond” attack stretch.
All to cover up – as our Brittany Sheehan pointed out on X – the fact that Flipper has almost ZERO popular support among voters, or financial support from donors, for his self-serving, ego-boosting, vanity campaign.
As Brittany noted, Flipper’s “net contributions” for his campaign since flippering to CD2 amount to just $9,375.62.
So he’s now trying to buy the seat by loaning his campaign $760,000.
Money that, if he was truly a movement conservative, would instead be invested in promising GOP candidates who are trying to flip some competitive state legislative seats.
Flipper’s consultants aren’t trying to elect a conservative to Congress from CD2.
They’re trying to elect Flipper so they keep the gravy train rolling – and they don’t care how low they have to sink to keep the spigot flowing.
Somehow I suspect northern and rural Republicans won’t be fooled.
