I Nearly Beat Steve Yeager Last Time – Here’s Why I’m Suiting Up Again

You know, whenever I think about underdogs who refuse to quit, I think about our own Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Remember that first year? The experts said an expansion team had no business in the Stanley Cup Finals. We were supposed to be a Las Vegas novelty, not competitive.

But our Knights didn’t buy into that.

They laced up, got on the ice, and shocked the world. They made it to the Finals. Then lost. But here’s the part I love:

They didn’t quit.

They learned some lessons, made some adjustments, and five years later lifted that Stanley Cup right over their heads.

And honestly? That first year for the Golden Knights is exactly what we did in Assembly District 9 last year.

We went up against the Speaker of the Assembly. Not a rookie. Not a back bencher. One of the most powerful Democrats in the entire state.

Steve Yeager had the name, the power, the machine, and almost a million dollars. We had just $48,000 and a rag-tag team of volunteers.

Despite the odds, we got on the ice. We took the hits. Got knocked down. But we kept going. And we came *this close* to sending the most powerful Democrat in State Assembly home.

No, we didn’t win that first round. But we scared the heck out of him. We proved he was beatable. Yeager himself looked at the numbers and said, “I’m not doing that again.”

He didn’t retire. He wasn’t termed out. He quit. Because he knew we’d come back leaner, meaner, smarter, and stronger.

And that’s why I’ve officially announced that I’m running again for Assembly District 9.

I’m running because you deserve someone who fights like a honey badger — not someone who only shows up for photo ops.

I’m running because families shouldn’t need a second job just to keep the lights on.

I’m running because too many of our kids can’t read or write and everyone in charge pretends it’s fine.

I’m running because you should feel safe walking to your car, your mailbox, or your front door.

And I’m running because a judge had the nerve to call my daughter – quote – “property of the state.”

That changes you. And I’m telling you right now: No child, no parent, no family in Nevada should ever feel owned by the government.

This isn’t political. It’s personal.

If you want safer neighborhoods – I’m fighting for that. If you want schools that listen to parents – I’m fighting for that. If you want a government that works for you instead of against you – I’m fighting for that too.

When I represent you, your safety won’t be negotiable. Your parental rights won’t be debatable. Your tax dollars won’t be an ATM machine.

And know this…

Unlike Mr. Yeager, moms don’t quit. We don’t fold. We don’t back down. Money doesn’t beat heart. Power doesn’t beat grit.

And the political “experts” don’t know a thing about what happens when a mom decides enough is enough.

So now we finish what we started. We shock the political establishment again. And we take District 9!

This is our fight. This is our rematch. And this time – we’re gonna win the whole darned thing.

Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.
