When former U.S. Rep. John Kasich recently addressed the Nevada Development Authority, he had a receptive audience of 500 businesspeople. He could have talked politics — he is now a Republican candidate for governor of Ohio. Or he could have trumpeted business themes. But Kasich took an almost contrarian tone and addressed America's character — or perhaps the recent noticeable lack of it. It was an inspiring talk and worth recounting.
