The media—including Fox News Channel—really ought to hang its collective head in shame.
Fox has to answer for the lamo efforts of Shepherd Smith and Chris Wallace to appear as if they were fair and balanced when, in point of fact, they are, were and always will be never-Trumpers.
The rest of the left-leaning talking heads are just morons. I’ll bet that the public fully understands this and its opinion of the media is already baked into public perception of the way things are.
When CBS brings in “analysts” to include some little girl whose “assignment” it is to cover events at the State Department for a bull session on what happened when Donald met Kim and she wasn’t in the room, do you suppose they understand that they’re just filling the time between commercials?
Of course they do not.
They actually think they have some expertise. It’s the equivalent of a beer-bellied sports writer yelling “put me in coach” at a hockey game and would, predictably, have the same results.
Yet, this is the best these Trump-hating clowns can do.
Let’s go back to Fox News.
Why Chris Wallace thinks it necessary to come across as a never-Trumper is beyond me. His late father tilted left but was a reporter’s reporter who, I suspect, would have treated a President Trump much more fairly than his son has. There is a story about Wallace (the son) from his ABC News days which is part of the union lore there. Wallace is said to have come back to a New York edit bay and was told by a grizzled NABET union editor, “Now Chris, what we need on this piece is…” whereupon he was interrupted by Wallace who was alleged to have said, “you don’t understand…its Mr. Wallace.” Whereupon the editor, not missing a beat retorted, “No, YOU don’t understand. MR. Wallace works at CBS.”
Smith is a lost cause. When Spiro Agnew talked about “nattering nabobs of negativism” Smith was five years old. (Old Miss did not help him progress very much) To see him on the Noon Pacific show is to see exactly what Agnew was talking about. Raised eyebrows, snarky comebacks, gotcha remarks. Agnew was a flawed attack dog for Richard Nixon, but he was spot on in this case.
Face it, the average person in the media doesn’t dislike the President.
They HATE him.
If Trump says the sky is blue, the media says it’s red. If Trump says anything, the media says the opposite.
And they continuously prove to their audience—the voters—that they are morons masquerading as anchormen. Will Ferrell could not have played the role as well.
Also, they tend to operate on the theory that even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
It doesn’t matter how many times Trump proves their stupidity, he’ll eventually be wrong which will make them right.
In short, these people—to steal a line from a Mel Brooks movie—are the common clay which molded the new West…you know, MORONS.
The only hope on the horizon is that a Federal Judge just refused to block the AT&T acquisition of Time Warner. Let’s see what CNN looks like in six months.
