Muth’s Truths: October 21, 2016

From the Good News/Bad News Department

My 16-year-old daughter, Kristen, went to her first job interview on Wednesday…and was hired for her first job on Thursday!  She’ll be working at a candy store at the mall for the holiday season.

Very happy for and very proud of her.  That’s the good news.

But as a Dad, it brings a little bit of sorrow, too.  Another reminder that my first-born is one step closer to leaving the nest.  Of course, I know it’s inevitable…but it still sucks.  Where, indeed, has the time gone?

Cheers.

Nevada’s #1 Irritator of Liberals and RINOs

P.S.  A number of people have called and written asking what my position was on the stadium deal passed by the Legislature last week.  I was in favor of it.

A lot of the anti-stadium propaganda, especially from that goofball liberal blogger Jon Ralston, was inaccurate and misleading.  Hope to have a full, detailed explanation finished this weekend.  Stand by…

 Dennis Hof: MY APOLOGY

An Open Letter to the People and Voters of Assembly District 36:  Do you remember that movie classic “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon”?  In it the late, great actor John Wayne famously told a cavalry soldier, “Never apologize.  It’s a sign of weakness.” Far be it for me to…read more

SPORTS

Although I am continuing with my boycott of any San Francisco 49’ers game as long as cop-hating low-life Colin Krapperdick is playing for them – and am watching far fewer games overall because of the NFL-wide spread of this anti-American disease – I love the fact that Thursday Night Football games are now available on Twitter.

While reception isn’t always perfect via my iPhone, it’s usually pretty darned good.  And I can sit in my car and watch the games using Bluetooth audio through my car stereo in the parking lot while my son is at soccer practice.  If you weren’t aware of this new option, check it out.

NEVADA NEWS & VIEWS

You know, I don’t exactly need help saying or writing controversial things on my own without having my words intentionally misreported.  But that’s exactly what the low-life, slimeball communications director for the Nevada Democrat Party did this week.

In a radio interview with conservative talk-show host Kevin Wall on Wednesday, Wall asked if I thought Congressman Joe Heck’s decision to withdraw his support from Donald Trump *might* hurt him in his U.S. Senate election.  Here’s his exact question…

“I have at least heard anecdotally about internal polling that shows him losing something on the order of 6 points after denouncing Donald J. Trump. Is it going to hurt him? Might it be a decision that might cost him the election?”

*MIGHT.*  My response…

“Absolutely. There’s no question about it. He gained absolutely nothing from the other camp. No Cortez Masto supporter was going to change their vote and vote for him by unendorsing Donald Trump.”

I went on to explain, however, that Heck’s election had national implications and urged conservative voters not to cut off their noses to spite their faces and risk, not only being saddled with Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto-Reid for six years, but with Democrat MAJORITY LEADER Chuck Schumer.

I concluded with this…

“You gotta vote for Joe Heck no matter how angry you are at him. You gotta vote for him on Election Day.”

But here’s how Mairead Lynn, comms director for the NV DEMS, twisted my words in a tweet and email to their supporters…

“Former NV GOP Executive Director: ‘There’s No Question About It,’ Joe Heck Lost The Election”

Lying sack of…!!!

Steve Ranson, editor of the Lahontan Valley News, picked up on this in his column yesterday…

“I imagine this isn’t the first time Lynn has not finished a complete thought. That was a nice deceitful twist on words from Lynn, who reminds me of a junior high school student trying to get others in trouble with her verbal inexactitudes. I saw that frequently when I was a junior high school administrator. There’s a difference between might and will.”

Lynn should be ashamed of herself.  I immediately sent an email asking for a retraction and apology for burping up such a transparently obvious whopper. But I guess being a Democrat hack means never having to say you’re sorry. So my attorney is now looking into this situation.

And before anyone says Lyin’ Lynn is immune from legal action due to the 1stAmendment, consider the fact that my attorney is the same one who successfully represented former State Sen. Bob Beers in a separate defamation lawsuit against the Nevada Democrat Party a few years ago.
