This is a resolution to not only improve you, but improve your city, county, or state. And you are the key.
If running for office headed the top of your New You To-Do list, the Nevada Policy Research Institute is offering an intensive, candidate training course on state policy. The course will run 16 weeks and it is free!
Geoffrey Lawrence, NPRI’s director of policy, says that this course will educate candidates about the structure of the Nevada government and free market policy solutions to the state’s most pressing problems. You will learn to substantively address the major policy issues confronting the Nevada Legislature and the best way to clearly articulate a conservative/libertarian policy agenda.

If walking door-to-door to convince people to vote for you isn’t what you had in mind but you still wanted to be involved in shaping public opinion, on January 14th, you can attend a full day workshop to learn how to become an effective activist.
The Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity will equip you with the tools and skills you will need – including a closing workshop led by Chuck Muth of Citizen Outreach: How to Use the Internet to Make a HUGE Difference in Politics & Public Policy.
Cost of this training is only $10 per person—that’s to cover the cost your lunch and materials. Training will focus on how you can become an information activist using investigative reporting tools and skills to impact the state and local government budgeting process.
