MUTH’S TRUTHS

“Today, I’m opposed to his (Donald Trump) campaign,” said Nevada Sen. Dean Heller in a Politico interview. “He did a lot of damage. It’s very difficult for him, as far as I’m concerned, to recover from his previous comments.  I’ll give him a chance, but at this point, I have no intentions of voting for him.”

A lot of damage?  To who?  He got more votes than any other Republican presidential nominee in history.

Sen. Heller should bear in mind that a lot of conservatives in Nevada held their nose and voted for him in 2012, when he barely defeated the Democrat candidate 46-45%.  If enough of us had done the same thing to him back then that he’s doing to Trump right now, he wouldn’t be in the Senate today.

And if he keeps this up and doesn’t get with the program soon, we won’t be holding our noses next time.

Especially since he won’t support Trump yet endorsed the lying, cheating, back-stabbing, double-talking, tax-hiking RINO Michael Roberson in the CD3 GOP primary this year.

But here’s the part I don’t get:  You don’t like Trump?  Fine.  You’re not going to vote for Trump?  Fine.  But the least you #NeverTrump guys can do is SHUT UP ABOUT IT!

Cheers.

P.S.  Conservative talk-show host Michael Reagan declared yesterday that “If Donald Trump loses, it’s on his head.”

Um, no it won’t be.

It will be on the heads of #NeverTrump GOP establishment “leaders” such as Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Bill Kristol, Ben Sasse, Mike Lee, National Review, Lyndsey Graham, Jeb Bush, Reince Preibus, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Erick Erickson, Red State…and Dean Heller.

If these people don’t think the grassroots are going to blame THEM and not Trump if Crooked Hillary wins the White House, they’re smoking crack.

P.P.S.  Meanwhile in other news, an extensive new Battleground Poll by a leading liberal polling company shows Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton neck-and-neck (44-44) in Nevada, and Republican Rep. Joe Heck leading Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto-Reid by 5 points.

Could be a Trump landslide WITH coattails!

Bruce Ash, Republican rules chairman, moves to lock in Trump as nominee

“Why do I distrust [RNC Chairman Reince Priebus] and the rest of the leadership?” Mr. Ash said. “Because as the RNC Standing Rules Committee chairman, I asked for a public pledge to support our presumptive nominee. I asked this from Reince, his convention leadership team, the various chairmen of the standing committees and from the convention committee chairman. I never heard back from anybody.”

NEVADA NEWS & VIEWS

“You know, I really miss Ralston Live,” said absolutely no one this week.

On the other hand, I hear “Sputtering Jon” Ralston is really taking it hard that he was fired by PBS without warning last week.  He’s bitter.  He’s angry.  He’s abusive.

In other words, he’s pretty much being himself.  But at a higher degree.

And what he’s really hacked about is that it apparently was Bernie Sanders supporters that got him canned after the liberal blogger wrote false stories about the Democrats’ state convention last month.

“On the heels of losing his show and position at PBS after driving a fake national media narrative about thrown chairs at the Nevada Democratic Convention,” wrote Robert Kern in the Reno Gazette-Journal yesterday, “(Ralston) seems like he’s trying to claw back some shred of dignity with his shrill demands that it really was true. Sadly, his personal attacks and bitter partisanship do nothing to reclaim his lost journalistic integrity.”

Gotta take issue with that last statement.  “Journalistic integrity”?  How can you lose something you never had

“Ralston does not let facts get in his way, either,” Kern continued. “His rather sad attempt to defend the lie that there were chairs thrown at the convention is the perfect example. This rumor was attributed to a statement from Ralston, who didn’t admit at the time that he wasn’t even present at the convention when the chairs were allegedly thrown, so I understand why being nationally recognized for starting a nationwide lie could be a sore spot for him.”

In response, Sputtering Jon went on one of his patented hissy-fit Twitter rants, including this one…

“Disappointing @rgj would publish error-filled piece from Sanders guy w/o IDing him. But more so: Why do they keep calling it a ‘lie’?”

And there it is.  The inevitable match to burn down the RGJ bridge – the only newspaper left in the entire state of Nevada where Ralston’s “column” is published – is now lit.  ‘Tis only a matter of time before he’s canned from there, too.

Of course, the Sanders folks keep calling it a lie because it is a lie.  That’s what Ralston does.  He’s been lying about conservatives for years.

But once he got caught doing it to the very liberals who actually watch PBS, well, that was something that simply could not be tolerated.  So Sputtering Jon was sent packing.  AMF.
