Attorney General Eric Holder had a problem.
During a trip last month to Nevada, Holder was scheduled to stand on stage with the state’s two senators, Democrat Harry Reid and Republican John Ensign, at an event in Las Vegas.
But Holder’s appearance at the Oct. 17 Anti-Defamation League dinner came shortly after a devastating New York Times exposé detailed Ensign’s attempts to find lobbying work for Doug Hampton, a former top aide to the senator whose wife, Cindy, had a nine-month extramarital affair with Ensign from 2007 to 2008.
