SandRINOval is “Fioreous” over Tax Repeal Referendum

SandRINOval is “Fioreous” over Tax Repeal Referendum
Chuck Muth
August 11, 2015

Chuck Muth(Chuck Muth, Citizen Outreach) – Nevada Gov. Brian “America’s Worst Governor” Sandoval’s initials ain’t B.S. for nuthin’.

Indeed, if anyone needs further proof of what a liberal, card-carrying RINO (Republican in Name Only) this guy is, gets a load of what he said about our efforts to repeal his largest tax increase in Nevada history, including the creation of a brand spanking new gross receipts tax…

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal today…

In a statement, Sandoval called the move “a wrongheaded attack on the children and families of Nevada. Supported by more than seventy percent of legislators, the revenue the petition seeks to eliminate will go directly to the classroom and give teachers the resources to deliver a quality education. Most Nevadans understand that more investment in our schools, with proper accountability and reform, will improve graduation rates and student performance. It is also clear that if our schools don’t improve, businesses won’t come here. The time is now to build the workforce of the future.

“Those responsible for promoting this petition must answer a simple question to the parents of Nevada: What will you cut?” Sandoval said. “Autism treatment programs? Smaller class sizes? Career and technical training? Gifted and talented programs? Anti-bullying programs? Middle school technology investments? All day kindergarten? Special education programs? Read by grade 3? I strongly oppose the petition. Its passage will destroy a generational opportunity to finally modernize and improve an underperforming education system.”

What a bleeding-heart schmendrick.

Two points…

1.)  What would we cut, huh?

Ask State Controller Ron Knecht and the conservative members of the Legislature who proposed alternatives to SandRINOval’s billion dollar budget buster during the 2015 legislative session… alternatives that SandRINOval asked for, got, completely ignored and rejected out of hand.

Sorry, Guv, we’re calling BS on you on this one.

2.)  And about that “more than seventy percent of legislators” BS…

That total number would be…48

On the other hand, “more than 70 percent” of Nevada voters REJECTED a similar gross receipts tax that was on the ballot just last November.

That total number would be…429,324!!!

So we’re supposed to believe that the combined wisdom of 48 self-righteous liberal legislators trumps over 400,000 Nevada citizens and taxpayers?

Get real.

Maybe I’ve been watching too many Donald Trump interviews lately, but…

Get bent, Brian!

LETTER TO THE GOVERNOR

Governor Sandoval,

I have lived in Las Vegas for over 45 years, raised a family and started a business in my backyard that has grown to 44 employees.  The company is Polar Shades, INC located in Henderson, NV, which I have poured blood, sweat, and tears into for 20 years, as have our awesome employees.

As a manufacturing business our margins are small, we provide medical benefits and 1 week of paid vacation to our employees.  Which, we will have to eliminate to cover the $100,000.00 plus in new taxes our Republican Governor has signed into law.

I cannot fathom how this tax on total revenue, and not profits was allowed to pass, and be signed by you.  I can assure you that I will be relocating my business out of the once “Great State of Nevada”.

It seems the Republican Party now has the same policy as the Democrats, taxes, taxes, and more taxes.

I take the risk, and invest everything I have into my business, pay my taxes, employees and their benefits, vendors, and now more taxes.

I cannot thank you enough for this biggest tax increases in the history of our state, and to think I attended a fundraiser, took a picture with you, and supported your campaign for re-election.  My future vote and support for you will never happen in this business-unfriendly environment that has been created.

Steve Mevius
