She used a colorful Middle Eastern phrase to suggest a certain liberal politician (her Democrat opponent, A.Ron Ford), who opposes giving black and other minority kids the ability to attend better private schools, should be “hanging from a crane.” For details and background, click here. * Speaking of A.Ron, this guy is a professional race-hustler from way back. Disagree with him? You’re a racist. The guy uses “racist” as a shield to protect himself politically. Indeed, he’s now hiding behind his fake “racist” claim against Chattah to duck debating her. I wrote about A.Ron’s race-baiting tactics and history back in 2018. If you’d like to get some fleas, lie down with this dog. * The City of Las Vegas has really screwed the pooch in how it’s (mis)handled the Badlands Golf Course brouhaha. After consistently losing to the wronged developer in court, some cooler heads decided last week that maybe it was time to limit the damage to city taxpayers – already in the MILLIONS. Alas, the city reportedly continues to screw up the mediation. For full background on this issue, click here. * By the way, former Las Vegas City Councilman Bob Beers was right about the Badlands quagmire all along…even though he lost he council seat over it a couple years back. Now he’s running to return to city hall against a former “Republican” assembly-critter named Francis Allen-Maineri-Palenske, who’s taking another “stab” at political office. * You’d think after seeing how badly Las Vegas has screwed up the Badlands mess that Clark County would see the writing on the wall and not make the same mistakes with developer Jim Rhodes and his project out by Red Rock. But…nope. County taxpayers might wanna start paying a little more attention to this matter. Click here for more background. * Although I’ve stepped away from politics a bit for a while, if I had a few bucks I wanted to spread around to some solid candidates on the November ballot, here would be my Top Three choices…
- Joe Lombardo for governor. NO RACE in Nevada this year is as important as knocking out Steve Sisolak. Click here to donate.
- April Becker for Congress. Incumbent Susie Lee is nothing more than a bored housewife who knee-jerk votes with Pelosi. If Republicans can’t win this seat, they ain’t gonna win either of the other two. So load up on April. Click here to donate.
- Drew Johnson for Clark County Commission. Drew is a rock-solid fiscal conservative and highly qualified to dig into commission shenanigans – especially those of his shady opponent, Justin Jones.
