If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate America's 250th birthday this Independence Day, the Clark County Republican Party may have just the place.
The party is hosting a family-friendly patriotic celebration at the Ahern Hotel on July 4, featuring live music, food, games, dancing, raffles, and what organizers say will be one of the best fireworks viewing locations in Las Vegas.
The event is being organized by Clark County Republican Party Special Events Chair and active patriot Sue Stitt. The celebration is designed to bring together families, friends, neighbors, and fellow patriots for an evening focused on community and country.
Guests will enjoy live entertainment from Pat Dalton Amico and his band, along with an Americana-style buffet, country-western dancing, and line dance instruction.
There will also be plenty for younger attendees, including face painting, crafts, cotton candy, popcorn, cornhole games, and other family activities. Families should be especially excited for the inaugural “Hobby Horse Derby Dash,” a hilarious spectacle that's sure to be a hit with the kids.
Adults won't be left out, either. Organizers promise a selection of beverages and opportunities to mingle throughout the evening.
But the highlight comes after sunset.
As Las Vegas prepares for its citywide America 250 celebration, attendees will head to the top level of the Ahern Hotel parking structure for panoramic views of the fireworks displays across the valley.
From that elevated vantage point, guests are expected to have unobstructed views of fireworks launched from the Las Vegas Strip, downtown Las Vegas, and the Stratosphere.
Organizers say it'll be one of the best fireworks viewing locations in Southern Nevada.
With America marking its 250th birthday, patriotic celebrations are expected to be larger than usual this year. Events such as the Summerlin Patriots gathering offer residents a chance to celebrate the nation's founding while spending time with family, friends, and fellow community members.
For those looking to combine food, fun, patriotism, and fireworks in one location, this July 4 event promises a memorable way to celebrate America's 250th.
