Work Until 70? Fix Washington, Not the Working Class

Posted By

The government spent decades wasting your money, and now they want you to pay for it by working until you’re 70.

On October 31, 2025, Senator Rand Paul sat down with Tim Cast and said he supports “bold reforms” to Social Security.

His big idea?

Raise the full retirement age to 70 to keep the program “sustainable.”

Translation:

You work longer. They fix nothing.

The same people who’ve sent billions to Ukraine, billions to USAID, and billions more in government handouts now say there’s no money left for Social Security.

They didn’t seem worried about “solvency” when the cash was flowing overseas.

But now that the bill’s due, it’s the American worker who’s supposed to sacrifice.

If Washington gets its way, men and women who’ve worked physical jobs their whole lives, construction workers, truck drivers, nurses, landscapers, will be forced to keep grinding until they’re nearly 70.

That’s not “reform.” That’s punishment.

And while the politicians retire with lifetime pensions, you’ll still be clocking in.

We’ve seen this before.

Every time D.C. overspends, the taxpayer gets the blame.

They robbed the Social Security fund, funneled our dollars into foreign projects, and now they claim we have to fix it.

It’s the same story, just a new excuse.

For Nevada, this means working in 110-degree heat, hauling 50-pound packages, or driving all night just to keep the system afloat, while the government ships our money out the door.

This isn’t about saving Social Security.

It’s about Washington refusing to take responsibility for their own mess.

If the government stopped wasting our tax dollars, we wouldn’t have a Social Security crisis.

Don’t make Americans work longer, make Washington work smarter.
