Nevada Legislature Back Open For Business, Buyer Beware

So the federal government has reopened.

You and your family were used as pawns by Democrats in Washington to get, checks notes….nothing.

Zip, zilch, nada.

It was literally a political stunt to paint Republicans as villains at your detriment.

The sad part is that for some in the general public, the scheme worked.

Roughly 6 in 10 Americans say President Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have “a great deal” or “quite a bit” of responsibility for the shutdown.

That’s bad messaging folks.

Conservatives must do a better job of communicating directly with the people, speaking in plain language they can understand.

When feelings become ruler over facts, we’re off track.

For example, consumer sentiment for young adults between 18 and 34 years old is at the lowest level in at least 50 years and public perception about our economic conditions overall are very negative.

Yet, the stock market is hitting all time highs. Unemployment is low, jobs are out there for those who really want a paycheck.

We are the richest and most well-off our country and society has ever been and yet the media, as well as those that seek to gain from spinning a false narrative, spread propaganda.

The realities are the costs of food, gas, and everyday goods overall is about on par with what would be expected in year over year growths with inflation. Which, by the way, inflation is down from prior year.

So, much of this consumer negativity is just vibes and the numbers back that up.

What IS insanely high on a year-over-year comparison? Insurance rates and Utilities.

Who controls those? The states.

Once elected, I’ll fight to get those prices down in Nevada.

We have to talk with our neighbors, our families, our community members at the grocery store…we have to be willing to speak the truth in a way that’s easily understandable.

Because if we don’t help people see the truth and shape public opinion, we could be in for a tough November 2026 election.

Nevada Legislature Back Open

The Special Legislative Session begins today, called by Governor Joe Lombardo.

I’ll be watching and covering this each day and will report back to you directly.

There are folks who will be trying to sell you the false narrative that giving massive expansions of tax credits to the film industry is a good investment. I believe they are dead wrong.

These tax credits are transferable and become a money laundering scheme that benefit massive corporations instead of you, the tax-payer.

There’s empirical evidence showing the return on investment is just not there, it’s a boondoggle.

I’m a hard no, and will be if elected to represent District 34 in the State Assembly. I’ll keep you updated.
