A key endorsement just landed in one of Clark County’s closely watched local races, signaling a possible shift in momentum.
Clark County Commission candidate Albert Mack announced this week that he’s been endorsed by Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony, a longtime law enforcement leader and prominent conservative voice in the state.

In a statement released by the campaign, Anthony pointed to both Mack’s background and his policy focus as reasons for his support.
“Albert Mack and his family have been true pioneers in helping build Las Vegas and creating opportunities for those who live, work, and retire here,” Anthony said. “Albert will be a strong conservative voice on the Clark County Commission, fighting to restore affordability for working families while ensuring taxpayers have the transparency and accountability they deserve.”
Anthony also highlighted public safety, drawing on his own nearly three decades of experience in law enforcement, including his time as a Metro captain.
“As a former Metro captain with 29 years of service, I know how critical it is that our residents feel safe,” Anthony added. “Albert will make sure law enforcement has the tools needed to keep our communities secure.”
Mack welcomed the endorsement, calling it an honor and pointing to Anthony’s work on economic development, tourism, and efforts to protect women’s sports in Nevada.
The endorsement adds to a growing list of supporters for Mack, including Las Vegas Metro Sheriff Kevin McMahill, Las Vegas Police Protective Association President Steve Grammas, and several former Clark County Republican Party chairmen.
Mack, a fourth-generation Nevadan and business owner, is running on a platform focused on government transparency, fiscal discipline, and cutting unnecessary county spending.
The race for Clark County Commission District F is expected to draw attention as candidates lay out competing visions for growth, public safety, and affordability in Southern Nevada.
Voters in District F will ultimately decide based on the issues closest to home – rising costs, neighborhood safety, and how county government manages taxpayer dollars.
