Berkley Runs For The Hills

Berkley Runs For The Hills
Chuck Muth
January 22, 2010

(Lake for Congress) – In the wake of the election of Senator-elect Scott Brown in Massachusetts, Shelley Berkley has shifted course on healthcare in order to protect her job in an article dated yesterday in the Las Vegas Review Journal. Throughout 2009 Shelley was an outspoken advocate of a public option and overall healthcare reform even as public opinion began to oppose such legislation.

Berkley has continued to support the job killing policies of Nancy Pelosi even as the economy in southern Nevada continued to worsen. Shelley has proven that her interests are those supported by liberal special interests and liberal speaker Nancy Pelosi, with votes that mirror her liberal leaders over 98% of the time.

It is clear that Berkley’s tone change is only for political gain, and not to protect the interests of hard working Nevada families.

“This is exactly why we need to get self-serving politicians out of Washington,” said Craig Lake, Republican Candidate for Congress in CD1. “This bill is either good for the American people or it is not. We need politicians who are going to listen to the American people from the beginning, not just when their jobs are on the line.”

(Mr. Lake is a Republican candidate Nevada’s First Congressional District)
