GOP Central Committee Member Jim Wheeler Offers Caucus Commentary

(Gardnerville, NV) – February 3, 2012 – Jim Wheeler, a member of the Nevada Republican Central Committee, unpaid citizen lobbyist, and candidate for the Nevada Assembly’s 39th District, has made himself available to offer insight and commentary on the Nevada GOP Caucus taking place Saturday February 4^th.

At the October 2011 meeting of the Nevada Republican Central Committee, Jim took decisive action to plan, coordinate and ensure overwhelming passage of a resolution preventing same-day registration. This popular resolution put the decision back into the hands of the Central Committee, helping maintain the integrity of the Nevada Republican Party Platform. Jim’s actions will further help state party officers protect the caucus from fraud.

Jim urges all Nevada Republicans that registered by the January 20^th deadline to participate in the process and express their vote for delegates that will ultimately elect the Republican Party’s nominee for president.

Jim is currently an Executive Board member of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee where he serves as co-chairman of the Candidate Recruitment Committee and member of Voter Registration and Freedom Committees. Mr. Wheeler is a member of the Nevada Republican Party Central Committee where he is a member of the Rules Committee. Jim was the runner-up in the 2010 Assembly District 39 Republican Primary.
