Nevada Treasurer Hopeful Faces Scrutiny Over “Funny Money” Campaign Cash Move
Drew Johnson reported a $422,400 “personal loan” to his congressional campaign in 2024.
But instead of a simple transfer, it was split into 64 identical transactions – timed just before he landed the NRCC’s Young Guns designation – and then quickly repaid.
It may all follow the rules. But the structure, timing, and questions around the funding raise concerns that deserve a closer look before voters decide who should manage Nevada’s money.
