Breaking News:  Oral arguments were heard this morning at the Nevada Supreme Court on the appeal by Gov. Brian Sandoval and Big Gaming of a district court decision allowing a referendum on the new gross margins/receipts tax to go forward.

Court watchers, I’m told, are optimistic that, based on the questioning by the justices, the Supremes will uphold the lower court decision and let the petition stand as submitted.  Let’s hope such a decision is not only reached, but handed down sooner rather than later.  The signature-gathering clock is ticking!
