TDS-Addled Goofballs Blame Trump for Airport Parking Fees Set by Their Own Democrat-Run Commission
You know that feeling when someone confidently says something completely wrong and doesn't even realize it?
That's Nevada Democrats on social media. Every single day.

Attached was a news story about Harry Reid International Airport hiking parking rates starting July 1st.
Short-term parking goes from $36 to $38 a day. Long-term from $18 to $20. Economy from $12 to $14. Valet gets a $4 bump.
The Nevada Dems wanted you to blame Governor Joe Lombardo and President Trump.
There's just one itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny problem.
Lombardo and Trump have absolutely nothing to do with it!
Not one single thing.
Here's the truth they don't want you to know.
Harry Reid International Airport is owned and operated by the Clark County Department of Aviation. It's a county agency.
And per Clark County Code, parking rates “shall be established by the board of county commissioners by resolution.”
That's the Clark County Commission, folks.
Not the governor's office.
Not the White House.
The Clark County Commission.
And who runs the Clark County Commission right now?
Democrats.
Six out of seven commissioners are Democrats. Six. Out. Of. Seven.
The Democrats who run the commission control the airport. The Democrats who run the airport set the parking fees.
And the Nevada Democrat Party turned around and blamed the Republican governor and a Republican president for the fees their own party set.
You literally cannot make this up.
This is the first rate increase in over seven years, by the way. Since 2019.
Las Vegas has exploded in growth since then. Infrastructure costs more. The airport needs modernization. These are operational realities that any honest person understands.
But honesty isn't what Nevada Democrats are selling this cycle.
What they're selling is Trump Derangement Syndrome. TDS.
The brain disease that makes otherwise functional adults look at a local county government decision, ignore the six Democrats in charge of it, and type “Lombardo-Trump economy” with a straight face.
Governor Lombardo is the state's chief executive. He has no authority over Clark County parking fees. None. Zero. Zip.
President Trump is the leader of the free world. Airport parking in Clark County isn't exactly on his Oval Office agenda.
But facts don't matter to people whose entire political strategy is “stick Trump's name on everything bad and hope voters don't check.”
Nevada voters are checking.
The Clark County Commission controls county parking facilities. That's black-letter county code.
It's not complicated. It's not debatable. Any third-grader with Google could figure this out in under two minutes.
Nevada Democrats couldn't – or wouldn't.
They posted it anyway. Proudly. Thinking nobody would notice.
We noticed.
When your opponents have to lie about who controls a parking garage to make their case against you, that tells you everything about the strength of their argument.
They've got nothing. So they're making things up and hoping you're not paying attention.
