(Sally Roberts, Nevada Appeal) – Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC) has been on its way in unraveling Storey County’s rich natural resources through more advanced technological means since a Storey County Zoning Ordinace was passed almost about two decades ago.

Comstock Lode had formerly led the county in the 19th century in extracting gold and silver, thus booming wealth to Storey County during those times.

TRIC owns at least 100,000 acres that compose more than 50 percent of the county’s land area. 30,000 acres of which have been slowly utilized and developed by TRIC in constructing the world’s largest industrial park.

TRIC partnered with Storey County to develop the properties in the area. In return, the county is offering economic development incentives to companies that serve as developers of the industrial park.

Famous big companies have already set up their plants in the vast park. These include, among others, Walmart, Tesla Gigafactory, Duraflex, and Ebay Commerce. A complete list of the industries present in TRIC can be viewed here.
