Let’s talk a little about the “Hollywood Handout” being considered by the Nevada Legislature in this weekend’s special session.
If you’re not sure where to come down on this issue, here are two political reasons to oppose – as if the policy reasons aren’t enough:
1.) Former RINO (Republican in Name Only) Gov. Brian Sandoval, who in 2015 shoved the largest tax hike in Nevada history down our throats, testified in favor of the bill yesterday. ‘Nuff said.
2.) The proposal is being sponsored by Democrat Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui, who is now running for lieutenant governor against incumbent Republican Stavros Anthony.
Why in the wide, wide world of sports would any Republican vote to help her defeat Stavros? And yet . . .
Yesterday a motion was made in the Assembly to squash the Hollywood Handout. The motion failed on a 21-21 tie vote.
ONE vote would have killed the bill. But guess what?
FIVE Republicans voted with the majority of Democrats to keep the bill alive! These people obviously have a political death wish.

So it’s CRITICAL that above-mentioned five GOP assembly members hear from you NOW before they screw up and screw us over again with another vote in favor of the Hollywood Handout.
As Reagan famously put it, if you want them to see the light, make them feel the heat.
