MUTH’S TRUTHS
For years, I’ve been one of the loudest critics of Washoe County’s messy voter rolls.
My team at Citizen Outreach and our Pigpen Project have spent countless hours trying to clean them up — and, honestly, we hit a wall. No communication. No cooperation. Just frustration.
But that’s finally changed.
Thanks to Commissioner Clara Andriola, we were able to hop on a call last earlier this week with the county’s new Registrar of Voters, Andrew McDonald, and actually talk.
And for the first time, we’re on the same page.
We’ve opened a direct line of communication, and we’re now working with Washoe’s elections office instead of butting heads against it.
This is exactly how government should work — citizens and officials cooperating to make the system better.
It’s not perfect yet, but this is a huge step forward for transparency and accountability in Washoe County.
If you’ve followed our efforts to clean up Nevada’s voter rolls, you’ll want to see what changed — and how Commissioner Andriola helped turn conflict into cooperation.

P.S. A BIG “thank you” to everyone who reached out and wished Koda well for a speedy recovery from this week’s pit bull attack. He’s putting weight back on his paw, eating like a horse again, and there’s no sign of infection in the bite wound.
Should be good as new by the end of the weekend. Onward!
ACTION ALERT FROM ANNIE BLACK!
Friends and neighbors, I’m writing you today because the clock is ticking.
As a former member of the Nevada State Assembly, I’ve seen how slowly the wheels of government can grind and how opportunity can slip away when we’re not paying attention.
Now, under Governor Joe Lombardo and facing the upcoming special legislative session later this month, Nevada has a chance to do something wonderful for our children and for parents:
Enact meaningful school choice.
And here’s your last chance to add your name to our petition to the governor asking him to put a school choice option on his Special Session agenda.
