Plagued by alcohol and drug problems, the former child star of The Partridge Family actually attempted suicide by slashing “both his wrists with a disposable razor” while filming a reality TV show in his home after his wife asked for a divorce.
Police were called and Bonaduce was held for 24 hours for a psychiatric evaluation. “They say you have to hit rock bottom before you get better,” Bonaduce said afterwards. “Unfortunately, I hit it on TV.”
