The country music legend son of a famous country music legend began abusing drugs and alcohol when he was 18 years of age.
“Unable to cope with the pressures of living in his father’s shadow,” AXS.com reports, “a complicated personal life combined with his alcohol and drug abuse, Hank Jr. attempted to commit suicide in 1974.”
