“Oprah suffered near tragedy long before her success as a billionaire caretaker of America when she attempted suicide after a long struggle as a victim of abuse,” reports Suggest.com. “At 14, she consumed bleach after becoming pregnant.”
That was the first, but not only brush with self-inflicted death the talk show superstar experienced.
“According to the Daily Mail,” reports TheRichest.com, “as a young production assistant Oprah met and fell in love with a radio DJ named Tim Watts. One night she followed him home and discovered he was married with children. Winfrey then allegedly wrote a suicide note to her best friend Gayle King and drove her car into a tree, in an attempt to kill herself.”
